PRIORITIES

Kleberg County needs a Sheriff who prioritizes transparency and strong leadership. With a proven track record, organizational skills, and a visionary approach, I am the ideal candidate for this role. I am deeply committed to making school safety a top priority and building robust community partnerships with law enforcement. Experience is paramount, and I promise to deliver the transparent, professional law enforcement agency that Kleberg County deserves. PRIORITIES
Criminal Investigation

  • Ensure investigators receive current training across all investigative areas.

  • Deliver top-tier investigative and specialized response services to the public and criminal justice community.

  • Safeguard the public through the use of innovative investigative and enforcement methods to deter crime.

  • Collaborate closely with and exchange information with other local law enforcement agencies.

  • Ensure timely and thorough investigations of all reported incidents to promote public safety and uphold the law.

Patrol Divison

  • Strengthen patrol coverage in rural areas within the Patrol Division.

  • Expand Community Policing initiatives.

  • Enhance visibility and presence of deputies in and around school premises throughout the day.

  • Normalize the presence of Deputies in schools.

  • Increase patrols in school zones.

  • Foster a sense of pride among deputies.

  • Provide ongoing training to ensure officers maintain up-to-date certifications.

  • Offer training programs for officer safety and driving improvement.

Jail​

  • Ensure the jail is consistently maintained to meet inspection standards.

  • Provide proper training and necessary equipment for jail staff.

  • Prioritize the safety of jail personnel.

  • Uphold a standard of respect and dignity for all inmates.

  • Commit to frequent personal visits with jail supervisors and staff.

  • Implement strategies to reduce turnover among jail staff.

Community Service

  • I will personally visit all Kleberg County schools to establish positive working relationships.

  • I am dedicated to forming connections with local farmers, ranchers, and business owners.

  • Quarterly town hall meetings will be held to address concerns or comments from Kleberg County citizens.

  • Regular "Coffee with the Sheriff" events will be scheduled to meet with as many Kleberg County residents as possible.

  • Host community safety forums to educate residents on crime prevention and emergency preparedness.

  • Organize neighborhood watch programs to promote community involvement in safety.

  • Collaborate with local churches and faith-based organizations to address community needs and promote positive values.

Collaboration Other Agencies

  • Strengthen relationships with the Kingsville Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, TAMUK Police Department, and U.S. Border Patrol.

  • Visit their offices personally and advocate for monthly meetings to collaborate on serving Kleberg County.

  • Regularly meet with other regional Sheriffs to learn and implement best practices in leadership.
